An Urban Legend is a myth or folklore that is commonly accepted or believed to be true. Although Urban Legends are untrue, they often will affect people’s actions and attitudes about certain topics or institutions. Believe it or not, there are certain opinions and ideas about “church” that fall under the category of Urban Legends. These opinions seem to be accepted by many in our culture and yet they are far from the truth. The most unfortunate part is that some of these myths actually keep people from coming to church.
Starting Point Classes
begin September 21st-6-8pm
Our prayer is that Bethlehem is a place where people find “connection.” The most important “connection” that we can have is our connection to God through faith in Jesus Christ. “Starting Point” (formerly known as “Basics”) is a class where people of all backgrounds and experiences can come to learn (or review) about our relationship with God.
This class is called “Starting Point” because it’s a great introduction to the basic teachings of the Bible. We will find Biblical answers for questions: What’s wrong with the world and what’s the Solution? What happens when I die? What am I here for? and others.
“Starting Point” is taught in a relaxed environment with plenty of opportunity for questions. To sign up or if you have questions, you can contact Pastor Ben at 952-469-5227.
