Benjamin Blumer, Lead Pastor
I consider it a tremendous privilege to be pastor at Bethlehem. Jesus Christ has been a part of my life since I was a little child, and I can’t think of a better way to spend my life than to share the peace and joy of Christ with others. I grew up in Texas and Wisconsin before making Lakeville my home in 2003. It took me longer than some, but eventually I found the nicest place in the country…Minnesota.
I graduated from Martin Luther College (New Ulm, MN) in 1999 and from Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary (Milwaukee, WI) in 2003. The Lord has richly blessed my life with a wonderful wife, Carrie, and four children: Ezra, Chloe, Elias & Addie.
I truly believe that Bethlehem is a place where you’ll find a message that is relevant for your life and for your eternity: the message of Jesus Christ. It’s also a place where you’ll find a church “family” that will support and encourage you in your walk with Christ. You’re invited to come and visit any time.

Steve Abramowski, Spiritual Growth Pastor
I started serving at Bethlehem in August of 2008. In many ways, the Lord has blessed my life through Bethlehem. I’ve learned from firsthand experience that Bethlehem is a close group of caring and committed Christians, whose lives have been transformed through the Gospel of Jesus.
At Bethlehem, we believe that Jesus is God’s perfect Son, who through his perfect life and innocent death, paid for our sins, as well as the sins of the entire world. That is the message that transforms lives and gives people hope and purpose in life. That purpose, of course, is to live and honor Jesus in all we do. And that’s why we strive to get people connected to Jesus. So please join us. We want you to be connected too!
In 2004, I graduated from Martin Luther College, the Wisconsin Synod college of ministry. Then, in 2008, I completed the divinity program at Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary, and was assigned to serve as the spiritual growth pastor at Bethlehem. My wife, Louise, and I were married in August of 2007, and have been blessed with a daughter, Rebecca. We’re grateful to call Bethlehem, and the fabulous Lakeville community, home.

Shelly Schultz, Secretary
My family and I became members of Bethlehem in November of 2006. Shortly afterward, I became the secretary here at Bethlehem. My family and I consider both of these events to be great blessings for all of us. We love our Bethlehem “church family” and continue to have our faith strengthened each and every day we are here.
My husband and I both grew up in the Wisconsin Synod. We both attended high school at Michigan Lutheran Seminary in Saginaw, Michigan and also graduated from Martin Luther College in New Ulm. We both taught in Eau Claire, MI. for five years before making Minnesota our home. We have been blessed with four children: Jenni, Lindsey, Travis and Jordan.
I hope you will come and join us for worship sometime. We’d love for you to be part of our “family” too!
